"it can disappear and then re-appear in the blink of an eye, faster than you can say, 'baliffs?!'
So are you with us?"

Now you may be asking Yourself why squat at all? Some people think squatters are dirty people...urm yeah, only sometimes. anyway, what we want is a world where big business's don't run our lives, where we aren't plastered with adverts, where we can make free choices and live together in equality. sound nice doesn't it?

Well squatting is a way to take back the space that has been stolen from us by profit makers who want to develop grotesque yuppie apartments or shops where we buy crap no one wants. We want to grab back our space and say LOOK what we can do with it, we can be creative and inventive, we can create space that is free to all. People can actually have a say in what happens, its a way of empowering ourselves and showing how boring most of the city is. i mean, what can you do apart from spend money? oh I'm sure you can spend it on many things, but how much of that shit do you actually need?

Well i could rant on about capitalist nature, consumerism and the destruction of our planet...but here's some nice pictures of squats in stead....

Also a good history of squatting can be found here.
